We stayed here last winter with our two young kids and had a fantastic time. Phil and Kate are extremely helpful, very friendly and genuinely nice people. We would highly recommend their guesthouse to anyone and will be back soon.

Rooms are beautifully clean on arrival. Prices are kept down by not having daily servicing in the rooms but you don't miss it. En suites available. Delicious local restaurants fairly priced. Wonderful traditional noodles and beers.Lovely walks from village.

The title says it all - a very friendly place, in a beautiful valley - great in the summer when we were there - but I can imagine it is spectacular in the winter.

The apartment was comfortable and had all the facilities we needed for our stay. The village was really interesting and we really enjoyed the local music festival.

If you haven't been to this part of Germany try it out - it is so close to so many interesting areas in France, Germany and Switzerland! And we can whole heartily recommend The Grunenberg,
