“Friendly, comfortable and reasonable”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 August 2011

The title says it all - a very friendly place, in a beautiful valley - great in the summer when we were there - but I can imagine it is spectacular in the winter.

The apartment was comfortable and had all the facilities we needed for our stay. The village was really interesting and we really enjoyed the local music festival.

If you haven't been to this part of Germany try it out - it is so close to so many interesting areas in France, Germany and Switzerland! And we can whole heartily recommend The Grunenberg,

Thank you Phill and Kate.

“Honeymoon”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 August 2011

Without doubt the best B and B we have stayed at. Set in a wonderland of the southern Black Forest and with its own trout river to the rear it would be hard to find anything better for a romantic break. We loved the mountains the air and the local spa. Indeed the local attractions are too many to mention. Phill and Kate were both engaging, hard working, full of local knowledge to help and only too willing to assist one in organising ones day.
Simply Great. Many thanks and hope to see you both very soon. Steve and Lisa - Northants

“Comfortable Beds!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 August 2011

Very quiet area but beautiful. Wonderful cotton sheets and comfortable beds. Very friendly and helpful and they had lots of ideas of things to do in the area. Too much to see in a short period of time. Overall very good just a little quiet for us.

“Great little town with great hosts”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 August 2011

We walked throughout the black forest and Menscheswald, where Grunenberg is located is to my mind less commercial and more quaint than titisee.

We really enjoyed the walks, the place, the host, the breakfast and the local restaurants. Highly recommended.
