“A calm and peaceful place”

If you are looking for a place which provides you with a peaceful and tranquil environment, long walks and a stunning landscape along the coast the Hundred House Hotel might be the right place for you.
My hosts, Denise and Richard, were very welcoming and looked after me well. Richard is an excellent chef and the food at the in-house restaurant "The Fish in the Fountain" was delicious. Most food is sourced locally and extremely fresh.
Personally, if I ever wish to write a book or to spend a summer painting, this would be the place for me to go. I will definitely go again for a few days next summer and already i am very much looking forward to it.

“Perfection”

We stayed here for one Friday night on our way to our self-catering cottage in Mullion, as we didn't want to travel from home on a Saturday. To us, it was just somewhere to put our heads for a night, but what a find. We were very sorry to be on our way the next day and have now planned to come back again for a longer visit. Perfection is the only way I can describe the Hundred House, from the beaming smile and welcome from Denise as soon as you arrive, to the comfy lounges, library and bedroom. Not forgetting, of course, the wonderful food. We had a room on the front of the house, but unlike a previous reviewer, it did not cause us a problem. I can highly recommend this beautiful house.

“Pleasant stay - need a car”

We stayed at the Hundred House with my partner for a week-end in August.
On the plus side, the hosts Richard and Denise were aboslutely wonderful, very welcoming and caring. Richard clearly has a passion for food and both breakfast and dinner were very good. The homemade fudge for tea after dinner served in the lounge does it for a sweet tooth person like me. The hotel itself is peaceful, spotless and the inside is very well decorated, classic yet not outdated. We found that the Hundred House was a relatively good base to explore neighbouring beaches and villages (particularly loved St Mawes and Hemmick beach).
One would need a car though. The hotel is located by the side of a relatively long road and relatively isolated from villages. We were also a bit worried about the noise given that our room was facing the road. Even if the traffic died down in the evening, we would recommend asking for a room on the sides (not facing the road) which would guarantee less exposure to noise as well as perhaps more privacy.
The main downside was that the outside of the hotel did not retain the same period features and look as the decoration inside. But the rest of the package definitely made it worth staying in.

“Just perfect - good food, fantastic hosts, pleasant house - a real find”

During this summer I stayed twice at the Hundred House Hotel for one night each and had the most pleasant time. My hosts, Richard and Denise were incredibly welcoming and attentive, the rooms were quiet, pleasant and clean. The food was an absolute delight and cooked "just so", both times. I will definitely return to the Hundred House Hotel next summer for a longer stay to discover the surrounding coast and sample more of Richard's delicious food.
