“Almost the perfect hotel except for..”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 October 2010

the wifi. The rates are the most expensive I've seen so far in our tour of Europe. If I remember correctly it's about 6 euros per hour. But aside from that, the hotel was actually a great find. The rooms are spacious and everything you need is in there. The extra sofa bed provided had a foam that was less than 2 inches thick but it didn't really matter coz we were too tired and fell asleep right away.

As for the breakfast, it's one of the best I've tried and everything you need to start the day right is in there. Lots of fruits too. The hotel was clean and the staff spoke good english.

“Very good hotel outside of Namur”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 June 2010

Very good hotel, convenient, clean, excellent value for the money. Located right on the river, so view in the back is stunning! Family-friendly, with quite a large pool, playground and playing field. It is a few minutes outside of Namur, so car (or bikes) needed. Rather than opting for the hotel restaurant, we drove back to Namur where there are plenty of excellent dining options. There are also a few nice restaurants within walking distance nearby.

“Comfortable, adequate .. but come by car”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 September 2009

Good hotel, clean comfortable rooms, nice indoor pool ! The riverside-walks are recommendable (use the backdoor). The building 's a bit boring... 70-s / 80-s beige brick-style, but that's about the only thing 'wrong' we can mention. They threw a hell of New Years-party.. :) very nice !
One more thing about the hotel: it's quite far from the city centre.. too far to walk, so come by car (lots of parking space available).

“A good hotel, but don't stay for dinner”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 September 2009

As others have said, this is a comfortable but slightly boring hotel just outside Namur. There are riverside walks, but we did not try them. The pools (indoor and out) are pleasant and clean and we enjoyed our swim on the first evening.
The room was clean and comfortable, although the bathroom is probably overdue for a modern makeover. Our room was on the ground floor at the back of the hotel, so very quiet. Breakfast, served buffet-style, was excellent with plenty of choice - cereals, hot eggs and bacon, cold meats and cheese, fresh fruit, a wide variety of breads and pastries. We were delighted to see teapots available, so we were able to brew a good cup of tea!
The only disappointment came on the first evening when we went to eat in the bar (the restaurant was closed - it was Friday!). The signs outside offered a BBQ buffet with free drinks for 31 euros per person or the alternative plat du jour (dish of the day) for 15 euros. We asked what the dish of the day was and were told that this was not available. After some 'discussion' with the maitre d' we were offered 2 pieces of BBQ meat, salad and a drink for 15 euros. This was acceptable, but we had been made to feel very uncomfortable in asking for this. The meat was cheap and not very tasty, so we decided not to eat there again. On the following evenings (Saturday and Sunday) we ate a delicious meal in the Lunch Garden Restaurant in the Carrefour supermarket next door. This was very good value for money - and it had the same view of the river!
So, a good location with a clean room and a good bed. Excellent breakfast, but eat dinner in the Lunch Garden!

“Not for vegetarians”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 July 2009

Hotel is comfortable enough. A bit like a 1980s Post House hotel in style.Bland carpets and bare brick walls. When we arrived I asked about an evening meal. 'There is no a-la-carte tonight, we have a barbeque instead'. I asked if I could have a vegetarian meal, or even a salad. The reception guy rang the kitchen to ask. 'No we cannot help you' was the answer. (Not even a salad...How much trouble would that be?!). So we had to walk at 8.00pm to a little restaurant in the next village - a 40 minute walk along a busy road with no pavement in order to eat. They had no veggie stuff on the menu but they made the effort and we had a nice Italian pasta dish. If you are vegetarian and like to eat sometimes, this is not the place for you. Nice and quite though for a good night's sleep.
