As others have said, this is a comfortable but slightly boring hotel just outside Namur. There are riverside walks, but we did not try them. The pools (indoor and out) are pleasant and clean and we enjoyed our swim on the first evening.
The room was clean and comfortable, although the bathroom is probably overdue for a modern makeover. Our room was on the ground floor at the back of the hotel, so very quiet. Breakfast, served buffet-style, was excellent with plenty of choice - cereals, hot eggs and bacon, cold meats and cheese, fresh fruit, a wide variety of breads and pastries. We were delighted to see teapots available, so we were able to brew a good cup of tea!
The only disappointment came on the first evening when we went to eat in the bar (the restaurant was closed - it was Friday!). The signs outside offered a BBQ buffet with free drinks for 31 euros per person or the alternative plat du jour (dish of the day) for 15 euros. We asked what the dish of the day was and were told that this was not available. After some 'discussion' with the maitre d' we were offered 2 pieces of BBQ meat, salad and a drink for 15 euros. This was acceptable, but we had been made to feel very uncomfortable in asking for this. The meat was cheap and not very tasty, so we decided not to eat there again. On the following evenings (Saturday and Sunday) we ate a delicious meal in the Lunch Garden Restaurant in the Carrefour supermarket next door. This was very good value for money - and it had the same view of the river!
So, a good location with a clean room and a good bed. Excellent breakfast, but eat dinner in the Lunch Garden!
