Tucked away and far from the centre of Liege, this is a solid option if you are looking for somewhere to stop for a night whilst passing through Liege on to somewhere nice - Liege is a pretty grim indisutrial town.

An older style Ibis - yet to modernised (as of Jun 2010) - small reception - standard Ibis rooms with decent shower - clean etc.

Good parking here and it is free - there is a bar/grill and a bowling alley opposite if that sort of thing takes your fancy,

- the rooms to the front side are very noisy, especialy when the discotheque opens its doors...
- rooms are ibis standard but I had cleaner ones, also in this group
- there where pistachios under my bed and I never had some...
- breakfast becomes very boring after a few weeks
- we had one day without TV and one without hot water

This is a fairly new Ibis with the modern style Ibis rooms and the usual Ibis facilities..

A little difficult to find first time, but once you get the hang of it there is no problem..

There are a number of eating places nearby and a bar in the 10-pin bowling alley opposite..

Adjacent night club means that it can get busy and noisy at weekends.. But I never had too much of a problem as the hotel is air conditioned and so no need to open windows..

Rates seem pretty good..

Overall.. exactly what you'd hope for in a good ibis..

I stayed for one night at the IBIS Boncelles.

PROS:
- room in new IBIS standard, clean and roomy
- ample and simple parking
- fairly good value for money
- rather quiet place despite environment

CONS:
- the directions to the hotel are misleading, it is far more distant than the little map shows ...
- entrance very hard to to find, I passed by withtout noticing it ... and ended up miles away since there is no possibility of a quick u-turn nor any roundabout in sight ....
- environment very uninspiring to say the least
- no restaurant, limited offer in neighbourhood
- breakfast buffet below IBIS standard
