“hotel alize , mouscron”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 December 2011

stayed here in early december 2011 during our annual christmas markets trip. we had room 306 3rd floor and as it was part of a short tour with national holidays we didn't expect too much from the accomodation.
how wrong we were, the hotel was modern, rooms clean and well furnished, staff helpful and happy at work and the half board was good and well presented.the location just off the main square was ideal and the Praix bar/cafe just round the corner was a delight with good atmosphere and a range of beers and coffees. we visited Brussels and Lille with National and then an optional evening trip to Ypres.this was so worth doing , the Menin gate, the ceremony each evening and Ypres town with the impressive Cloth Hall were not to be missed
would recommend this hotel and this tour to everyone.

Room Tip: ask for upgrade to executive room if hotel is not full

“Very convenient, friendly and welcoming”

We stayed at this hotel as it was convenient for Ypres menin gate and going on to the Somme after. We used Best Western points to book 2 free rooms as it appears family rooms are not available. The hotel is just to the side of the main square so lots of restaurants very close by. The receptionist was very welcoming spoke excellent English and the rooms were perfect. The bed was incredibly comfortable and clean. Couldn't fault it. We only ate breakfast so can not comment on the restaurant but the breakfast was self serve and lots of choice. All the staff were very helpful and courteous. Although we had to split up as a family, I quite enjoyed spending the night with my little girl and I'm sure my son enjoyed dad and son time. Thank you for a very pleasant stay and it was the highlight of my daughters holiday. I gave four points for room only because there were no family rooms that certainly doesn't reflect the standard.

“Excellent”

Stayed in Hotel for 3 nights as part of a Ledger Holidays as part of a Battlefield Tour. Met at reception and given electronic room key. My Mother and I were in Room 005 in the basement area. As my Mother has problems with mobility it was ideal, just 5 steps down to the basement floor. Room immaculate. We had ordered twin room. Beds were pushed together but it wouldn't have been a problem to pull the beds slightly apart if we had wished. Breakfast very ample and impressive for a continental style. Cereals, toast, cold meats, cheeses, fruit and yogurt. No evening meals available which is a shame but reception helpful recommending restaurants in Mouscron to eat in. Drinks available at the bar until late evening. Would definetely stay in the hotel again if I visited the area. Just a note, breakfast is self service so you are not waited on but we had no problems because of this.

“Very good hotel”

Clean, quiet, kettle in room, helpful staff and good location. The friendly receptionist helped sort out parking and where to get a vegetarian meal ( la cloche) just round the corner. Would stay there again. One improvement needed is a seat in the shower of the accessible room.

“Great location and a clean and comfortable hotel”

Stayed at this hotel for four nights as part of a WWI Battlefields Tour in July 2011. The hotel is located just off the main square of Mouscron, near the border of France and Belgium Perfectly located for easy access to the battlefields. The square hosts a market two days a week - Tuesday and Saturday and is lined with restaurants and bars.

The hotel was clean, well appointed and comfortable. Tea/coffee making facilities in the room, and a flat-screen TV. There isn't a restaurant, but the breakfast they serve each morninng 7:30am-10am was pretty good and plentiful. There is a gym, but we didn't spend enough time in the hotel to try that out.

I'd definitely stay here again if I was in the area.
