Stayed here in Jan 08 and Oct 08 (just for 1 night). Room in Oct was superbly furnished and spacious( after renovation?). Good breakfast in pleasant surroundings. Secure parking.
However the restaurant was something else. Wine was set on a seperate table so you couldn't reach it ! Glass sat empty till the waitress arrived. Sat on edge wondering when you were going to get a drink next. Nice wine though.
Took nearly an hour to get a starter (the retaurant was only 20% full). Unfortunately the menu outside didn't match what was on offer inside. My wife didn't want frogs legs or rabbit , but rabbit was the lesser of two evils.
The food was beautifully presented and perfectly cooked BUT the strange combinations of flavours tasted weird AND was cold when it arrived at the table. We have dined all over Europe (we live in France) and have never had such a strange meal. They were just trying too hard and it didn't work. Failed your Michelin star; Chef needs to taste his food before inflicting it on unsuspecting gourmets.
We will be staying here again in New Year but will eat elsewhere.
