My husband and I were in Chantilly for a Fencing Competition that he was participating in. We wanted somewhere withing easy striking distance of Paris but without the hubbub of a big city. This little hotel fitted the bill perfectly! It is, I believe a 2 star hotel, so the accommodation is simple and not that elegant. However, it is set in the woods and the staff are lovely. They were more than happy to let us persevere with our French and really were always happy to help. The hotel is located literally 2 minutes from the station - the train from here takes 20 mins to Gare du Nord. I would definitely stay here again rather than in a big Paris hotel. There is very little in the way of restaurants nearby but there is a simple bar/cafe right next door and a lovely Pizzeria about 20-25 mins walk away. A relaxing way to see Paris.

As with the previous reviewer, we stayed here after reading the recommendations of previous visitors.

The hotel is a little way out of the town of Orry-la-Ville, but there are directions from the centre. It is very conveniently placed next to the railway station, and as long as you keep your (double-glazed) window shut at night, there is no disturbance either from the road or the railway. We had two rooms, one overlooking the secure carpark, and the other over the road, which was quite busy.

Our overall impression of the hotel was that it is clean, the staff are friendly and caring, and although I wouldn't want to spend too many nights there (we stayed 2 nights), it is very pleasant. As with previous visitors, our main reason for staying there was to take a day trip into Paris on the train, and for this reason alone is it worth staying there.

Unfortunately, we cannot comment on the virtues of the restaurant next door, as they were catering for a wedding party the first night (in the hotel - they were very quiet!), and they were closed the second night - Sunday. Instead, we went to the local pizzaria in Coye-la-foret (very good - they make the pizzas freshly with each order) one night, and a restaurant in Chantilly another night - well worth a journey.

Chose the hotel on the basis of the reviews here as we wanted a stop just outside Paris. We were given a room on the top floor with roof windows which you could hardly see out of. With no a/c (that we could find) these rooms must get sweltering in the summer - as it was having the window open let in lots of noise from the road. Bathroom was a little tatty with a not very clean smell. However the staff were pleasant and helpful enough, the hotel has secure parking - though it didn't seem big enough for the number of rooms - and buffet breakfast was pleasant enough. As for the restaurant next door, it was typical of the hundreds of small restaurants throughout France but we found the menu very limited and the prices higher than expected. It didn't help watching people being served dishes which they had apparently ordered in advance so were not available to us.

This was our first stopping point on a road trip from UK to Alicante. The hotel is spotless, simple but clean and comfortable with free wifi. Even though it is right next to the railway station (30,minutes to Paris by RER)z\, it was also very quiet. There is a restaurant next door but unfortunately this was closed the evening we were there. A short drive to Chantilly is worthwhile as the chateau is beautifully lit up at night and the town has plenty of good places to eat.
