The hotel is next to a beautiful forest, and not far from the gorgeous chateau de Chantilly. It is just at the train station, just 20 mn train will take you into Paris.
The rooms are nice, and the breakfast very good. The service is great, the staff always friendly.

Hotel La Nonette, located at the railway station at Orly L'Ville, is difficult to find by GPS or road map. Your best bet is to follow the signs for the railway station (Gare) which is on the left about 2 kilometers after you drive through Orly L'Ville. Park in the station and enter the hotel to the right of the station entrance to get your room key and code to open the wooden door to the left of the entrance which leads to the secure parking.

The room was comfortable but small as with most French hotels, very small space to walk. Best bed we had in a month in Europe. There were extra towels, pillows and blankets, the only time we had found those items. The wireless was easy to use, required no password or registration, and was very fast, faster than any Ibis where we stayed. No refrigerator, but space on windowsill outside window to put things on cold nights. Small bathroom with bathtub and a shower hose but no shower. Lots of hot water. No lift. No problems with heat or air conditioning. Not many electrical plugs. Only enough rack space to open a carryon suitcase, not a full size one except on bed or floor. No TV stations in English. Staff friendly and helpful. Good selection of maps and brochures for area.

My husband and I were in Chantilly for a Fencing Competition that he was participating in. We wanted somewhere withing easy striking distance of Paris but without the hubbub of a big city. This little hotel fitted the bill perfectly! It is, I believe a 2 star hotel, so the accommodation is simple and not that elegant. However, it is set in the woods and the staff are lovely. They were more than happy to let us persevere with our French and really were always happy to help. The hotel is located literally 2 minutes from the station - the train from here takes 20 mins to Gare du Nord. I would definitely stay here again rather than in a big Paris hotel. There is very little in the way of restaurants nearby but there is a simple bar/cafe right next door and a lovely Pizzeria about 20-25 mins walk away. A relaxing way to see Paris.

As with the previous reviewer, we stayed here after reading the recommendations of previous visitors.

The hotel is a little way out of the town of Orry-la-Ville, but there are directions from the centre. It is very conveniently placed next to the railway station, and as long as you keep your (double-glazed) window shut at night, there is no disturbance either from the road or the railway. We had two rooms, one overlooking the secure carpark, and the other over the road, which was quite busy.

Our overall impression of the hotel was that it is clean, the staff are friendly and caring, and although I wouldn't want to spend too many nights there (we stayed 2 nights), it is very pleasant. As with previous visitors, our main reason for staying there was to take a day trip into Paris on the train, and for this reason alone is it worth staying there.

Unfortunately, we cannot comment on the virtues of the restaurant next door, as they were catering for a wedding party the first night (in the hotel - they were very quiet!), and they were closed the second night - Sunday. Instead, we went to the local pizzaria in Coye-la-foret (very good - they make the pizzas freshly with each order) one night, and a restaurant in Chantilly another night - well worth a journey.
