I stayed here on business the week of November 1. My flight from the US arrived at 5:30 am and I arrived at the Hotel by 7:30, the front staff greeted me warmly and got me into my room in less than 5 minutes. Having left California at 7 am the day before, it was wonderful to be able to get into my room immediately and have a few hours to nap. The room was very nice, functional and i had a view that looked out over Sant Cugat and the Monestary.
I stayed for 3 nights and ate at the restaurant every morning (good breakfast included in my room rate) and had lunch & dinner once. The food was very good and the service fine.
The bed was supposed to be a king, but was really two twins pushed together and made up as twins, which i thought was a bit strange. It wasn't an issue because i was traveling alone.
The surrounding area is very nice and the shops and restaurants are fun to wander through. It was a 15 minute cab ride to my work's campus and much more convenient than staying in Barcelona proper.
I would definately return for pleasure or business!
On a funny note, there are gnomes adorning the lobby, bar and tops of the elevators. I thought it was jet lag at first. :) it added a bit of whimsy to the hotel and made me smile.
