We stayed one night at this hotel. The owner/chef was very friendly. Bedrooms very quirky and rather odd. We stayed in the room with silver and black decoration - The Charlie Chaplin room - and the decor was a little strange and not to our taste. Carpets up the stair were tired and worn.
We ate in the restaurant (fantastic views over the river)and were a little disappointed. Again the decor was tasteless and there were too many silk and plastic flowers. The food was not brilliant except for delicious and attractively presented deserts. Watiress was polite and friendly. Breakfast was self service in another dining room and there was plenty of choice and it was fresh.
Walking around the hotel was amazing - the river is most beautiful and the air and atmospere totally relaxing.
A hotel in a freshtaking location but sadly does not quite live up to expectation.
