We chose this hotel for our first night en route to the west coast of france. The building is very old, steeped in history and very beautiful. It was quite difficult to find , despite using our sat nav, so if you stay there it would be worth a bit of research before you go.
That said, when we did eventually find it, it really was quite spectular driving up the long drive to the hotel. The reception area was shut( we arrived about 7.45pm) but a gentleman came out from the main building to show us our room and that was that!
We were not offered anything to drink, there were no facilities in the room to make a drink and as far as we could see, when we went exploring, nothing was open. Luckily we had some water in our bags so that had to suffice until the morning.
Our room was pleasant and the breakfast was fine but none of it was worth the money- it did not live up to our expectation - a disappointing stay
