My partner and I spent 3 days here recently and were very satisfied. Our room was in the back, looking out over houses and fields, so was very quiet. We realized after the first day that it is best to keep the window closed during the day and open it after dark, as we had quite a few flies the first day but none came in at night. The room and bathroom were very clean, though the wood-paneled wall behind the bed was covered with dust. A nice large tub but no shower curtain so you had to shower sitting in the tub. Not a big deal for us. The bathroom appeared to have been renovated fairly recently. The large room was simply furnished without much provision for putting away clothes, so we kept most in our suitcases, but at least there was plenty of space for that. The staff were pleasant. We found the short drive into Colmar very easy and the location central for touring this part of Alsace. Of course, it is only suitable if you have a car. While not perfect, this was a pleasant place to stay at a bargain price.

Yes, price is convenient, so i was not expecting a palace. But the room was quite poor, without any minimum attention to make it a little bit better. Furniture was cheap and old, with an overall bad smell. Consider also you are in a countryside pretty far from the city of Colmar, without any specific attraction. Staff was not very friendly: arriving by lunchtime we've been told that check-in starts from 4 PM...

Lovely quiet hotel in the middle of the French countryside - but too far off the motorway. The directions you get from the website are very specific and spot-on so there is no danger of you getting lost on your way there!
We stayed in a nice, spacious family room. The room was clean and perfect for us. Breakfast was very nice and the children went out and played in the garden for a while while we finished our coffees. All very relaxed.
The people who run the hotel were very friendly and extremely helpful and I would recommend this place for a stop-over for anyone.

We stayed at the Relais du Ried for one night in a triple room. The room was rather small for two adults and a teenager and very dated. It lacked any free outlets. The bathroom was reasonably clean, but also very dated. The tub-shower was a pain to use, since it didn't have any door or curtain.

There was no AC, and we had to leave the windows open at night. This was fine except for the traffic noise.

We had a very nice dinner at the hotel restaurant. The breakfast buffet was also very nice. It was not included in the price, but well worth the 8 Euros per person.

Considering that the hotel is actually ~10km from Colmar, it is not such a great deal. Recommended with reservations.
