“Cuidado con la recepcionista”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 January 2012

“Beautiful hotel, close to Pamplona”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 September 2011

Our satnav couldn't find this hotel, but I put in the general area and then when we reached the industrial area I went with my instinct, and found it instantly (look to the hill)! From the moment you enter the car park this hotel had the wow factor. Beautiful stone building, with a large statue of the bulls running, there was plenty of parking and a selection of outdoor spaces to relax in the shade. In the evening we settled on the bottom deck and watched a lighting storm roll around for hours in the mountains, while we sat in a balmy, tranquil setting which was priceless.
Our room was spotlessy clean, well thought out with a nice view. the air conditioning wasn't too loud like some we experienced. In our room was a beautiful coffee table book, with nicely shot and researched information about the area, which gave us ideas of places to visit. Breakfast was superb, with plenty if choices, fresh fruit, cereals, yogurts, pastries, cold meats, toast, all presented really well too.
I only have one criticism, our toilet seat was broken. We didn't report it to reception as we were only there for the night and didn't want to have to change rooms once we had settled.
This was a weekday visit, and the hotel was quiet, the price was around 37 euros for the room, and an extra 8 euros each for breakfast. I really couldn't recommend it more.

“Excellent hotel outside of Pamplona at a good price...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 June 2011

The location was excellent, the interior was nicely decorated, but the temperature was not up to par: no air condition. In addition, we stayed on a Saturday and because the hotel was having one wedding and one First Communion party, the hotel restaurant was closed in the evening. You could order sandwiches at the bar but that was not acceptable to us. Plenty of parking around the hotel (free).

“Nice hotel in terrible position”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 July 2008

We love the NH chain and booked having seen the pictures on the web. We had assumed the hotel was in the country, being 5 km outside the town, but in fact it was directly on a very busy road in an industrial wasteland. It is very difficult to find and we got lost repeatedly. It is badly signed from the town centre. You have to follow the signs for Vitoria Gasteis and leave at the last second for Berriozar before the road becomes a motorway. One tip - if you do get on the motorway, you can cross it at the first service station and go back. You don't need to go on to an actual exit to go back.

The building itself is nice and the rooms are good. Facilities and staff are good too. Breakfast is good but expensive. However, there is nowhere to eat outside the hotel unless you brave the drive back into town. We were there on a Sunday when the restaurant was closed. You have to go into town round a series of roundabouts through a deserted highrise development, and after dark the roundabouts are the base of a number of very young black women whose profession, if named, would cause this post to be rejected. Parking in town is very difficult - we settled for a multistorey. La Chistera in the main drag was excellent.

The hotel seems to host a never ending series of wedding receptions at weekends, and the guests shout and slam their car doors all night - until at least 5 am. To cater for the wedding guests, almost every inch of the grounds has been converted into a car park.

This would be fine for one night. I would not recommend it for longer. It's a shame as it is a lovely building and it has some good points.

“An authentic taste of Spain”

Like staying in a convent. But in a good way! Very rustic but comfortable interior. Lovely restaurant and lounge area. Friendly staff (although very little English is spoken). They have cable so you can watch an english channel if you need to. The surrounding area is quaint and easy to get around. Try and get a room with a terrace (I think there are only two) on the third floor. Awsome value. Check their website for special deals of which there are some.
