“Amazing value for money!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 February 2009

Me and my partner stayed here after completing the Camino de Santiago for some much needed R&R, and we were not disappointed.

The hotel was clean and tidy, our room was massive, the breakfast was excellent and the staff were the extremely helpful and friendly and all this for 50 euro per room.. ..we could not believe it!

Only negative I would have to say was location it is located beside a very busy road
so a room at the rear of the hotel may be quieter. Also we did not have a car, there is a regular bus service to Pontevedra but is famous for not running on time! Although you will probably not be waiting longer than an hour for a bus.

I really enjoyed my time here and definitely would recommend but probably would be even better if you had a car.

“surpassed expectations”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 May 2008

spent a couple of nights at the hotel and found everything almost perfect if not for the fact that it faced the main road rather than being right on the beach. but this is compensated for by a small almost private beach just a few steps across the road.

very friendly and helpful staff, excellent breakfast (included in the price, not too common in spain where they charge extra), free parking (most hotels in spain charge even for their own private parking), very clean, with small pool (although it was not too appealing when we were there as the weather was chilly and pool is uncovered), big comfortable beds. they even have a sitting room with a small library. i was even able to ask for a room facing the beach and with a balcony at no extra charge (in other hotels we stayed on the same trip, these "small" luxuries easily cost 20 euros more!).

location is also great --- it's outside the city, but right along the scenic road of the Rias Baixas - very easy to locate. it's also close to a few interesting places to see --- Combarro, the fishing village, and the Monasterio de Poio.

all that for 60 euros a night for a double room --- it was definitely a steal!

overall, a great stay exceeding my expectations.

“Three Stars....and more”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 June 2006

We drove 900miles through Galicia, stopping wherever we chose.
This hotel was exceptional, three star rated, probably about a year old,
with it's own pool, a tiny secluded beach right opposite, with a wonderful restaurant beyond that, great breakfast included. clean, friendly, and exceptional value for money, believe me we stayed in some dumps elsewhere and payed over the top. If you're touring make sure you take a pit stop here.

“Wonderful Hotel in a beautiful part of Spain”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2006

We can not recommend this Hotel highly enough. The Hotel is very clean and pleasant throughout. The rooms are again very pleasant, book a room with a balcony and enjoy the lovely views of this wonderful coastline. As well as a swimming pool there is a small gym and a sun terrace on the 4th floor which is quite a sun trap (weather permitting) and also very private. There are english speaking staff on reception who are very welcoming and helpful with lots of information on where to go during your stay. Do try the restaurant, the food served is as good, if not better than any you will find here. Don't be surprised if you are brought dishes you didn't order, this is Spanish hospitality at it's very best (they will not be appearing on your bill). You will be well looked after by the kitchen & dining room staff. If you particularly enjoy your meal, let them know, you will be glad you did. There is a well stocked bar and you can have some "amusing evenings" practising your Spanish with the friendly barstaff who will in turn practise their English. There is also a small, sandy beach which is literally just across the road and it is very possible to find you have it all to yourself.
The Hotel is also very well situated on the coast road that runs from Pontevedra and is ideal as a base if you want to explore this area, which I would strongly recommend.
We have been made so welcome here, the staff are the warmest and friendliest (and also with a great sense of humour) we have ever found in a Hotel. We always return home after a stay here feeling we have had a really good holiday and will continue to return to this Hotel every year.
