The hotel is located just near the small village of el Rompido and 5 minutes from the village of Cartaya, which has everything, like cafes, restaurants, shops....
the hotel complex has 2 parts, one of the small villas conected to the el Rompido Golf Course, and the hotel - that includes the ruines of the San Miguel fortress.
the hotel is a ecohotel, just near the delta, marina and doñana natural park.
the staff is very friendly and helpfull, always trying to help.
all the decoration are pratical, ecofriendly, and very confortable. with 2 restaurants - grand buffet and italian, a big bar where the night animation thats place.
the rooms are spacious, clean, patrical and confortable with balcony - facing the golf course or beach- the bathroom has all the amenities what you could wish.
the spa is very nice with a circuit with water beds, foutains, sauna, turkish baths... there´s also a inside pool. we didnt use the outside pool because it rain all time, but they have a big swiming pool, with kids pool, gardens...
the breakfirst food is really great, with large choices of foods, very good quality and very good services. we had dinner once, at it was great, with a seafood buffet, grat wine list, plenty of fresh fruits but a little poor choices of deserts.
overall it s a great familly, beach, nature hotel.

we visit for the first time this hotel in the center of el rompido not far from the beach. Large hotel , but enough sun loungers at the different hotel pools. we booked a front sea-view room, nice view on the litte sandy island and harbour ! good rooms, 20 m² with huge balcony. Nice breakfast, with possibility of eating outside . Overall a good 4 star hotel, with nice price and good location. Don't forgot to visit in the middle of the center tapas bar '' la dona gamba'' , with fresh sea food and nice views !

“Excellent choice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 October 2010

Stayed here for a long weekend. It is a new hotel located on the edge of a little fishing village. I believe it is part of a small chain of Fuerte hotels.

We were disappointed to find that the "double" bed was too singles pushed together with one double quilt on the top, but did not argue the point. I'm not sure if they are all like that but check first, if it's important to you

The pool was very busy and we preferred to take the free ferry from the village to the long sandbank that stretches for about a mile along this part of the coast. A boardwalk takes you a couple of hundred metres to the other side of the sandbank where there is one of the best beaches you will find in Spain, almost deserted. Don't expect to find any beach bars or restaurants, there's absolutely notjhing but sand and a few locals dredging for the delicious small clams called almejas or coquinas.

The rooms are fine, with a small terrace from which to watch the magnificent sunsets . Bathrooms are spacious and clean, and you can pick up a couple of English language news stations on the TV should you wish. This is very nuch a Spanish hotel and that's what 90% or more of the guests are. The reception staff speak pretty good English.

Breakfast is a huge buffet with pretty well everything you could want. A cook does omelettes and pancakes to order.

There is a small ground level commercial centre, with a small supermarket and various boutiques and bars, just outside the hotel. A short walk takes you to the village where there are excellent sea food restaurants.

There are golf courses nearby, but we didn't use them, so can't comment on their quality.

It's probably a little pricey for what it is, but we wouldn't hesitate to go back.

First of all great staff that want to really please there guests. They enjoy working in 'their' hotel and share this with there guests.. Complaints/remarks are taken seriously en they'll do everything they can to solve your problem.
The hotel itself is comfortable. The food, although sometimes a little bit cold (they are working on it), is very tastefull and there is lots of choice.
Perfect swimmingpool area.
Nice and quiet surroundings.
