This is a nice resort hotel - one of the few such like I've been too in Spain and this felt like going to a Caribbean/equivalent resort with large grounds, large pool complex, buffet restaurant and organised activities.
Very well done - the buffet breakfast (and evening meal) were well stocked, some of the food wasn't great (majority was) but thats just the consequence of the buffet approach rather than anything else. We had wine in the evening and that seemed to be well priced.
The pool complex is large enough and well maintained with lifeguard (very child friendly when we were there), small waterslides, good changing facilities and is b ig enough to actually swim in with some depth to the pool. didn't use them but hotel offers kayaking, volleyball, petanque etc as well as activitikes to break the ice. And if you want a beach, well thats a short wealk and boat ride away with free boat tickets to the beaches on the spit - a lovely, wild natural beach.
Staff were very firendly - the woman on check-in was great and enjoyed the fact that we spoke a bit of spanish - going at a helpful pace but she also spoke english. I do think it does speak volumes for a hotel, the attitude of the staff.
'Town' is a short walk away - it being a fishing/resort town with a lot of chiringuitos - we ate in one which was ok but not great which probably makes me dismiss the village/town more than I should. Rooms were ok without being spectacular - but probably better on the whole than a lot of other spanish hotels - good beds.
