We stayed at the hotel nova senia earlier this month and overall the hotel is nice.
The hotel is situated just outside a little village approx 90mins away from Reus airport. Staff there speak very little English and we found communicating via google translate to be the easiest way. On arrival we were told that the restaurant in the hotel was closed due to staff holidays.... We weren't pre-warned about this. The rooms are not self catering and with la senia not being a tourist resort we found it hard to eat each day. We ended up having to buy food that did not need cooking and eating it in the room.

The rooms are nice, but I probably wouldn't be returning.

Three of us were on our way from Bezier, south of France to Murcia, Spain. We didn't want to make an overnight stop on the crowded and expensive Costas so booked a stop inland at the modern Hotel Novia Senia. It's not that far from the motorway and in a quiet situation, surrounded mainly by olive trees. The staff were courteous and helpful, the rooms were clean, bright and airy and it was a pleasure to stay there. It is very relaxing.
As already commented upon, the 9pm start time for the evening meal didn't suit us but we had it anyway. The food was good and the service excellent. Breakfast was sufficient, cereals, bread, fruit, juices etc. When we make this journey again we will stay there if we need to.

We picked this hotel on the way thru to Barcelona for a long weekend break, having travelled from the Costa Blanca to Morella in the mountains then onto La Senia. The reason I picked it was due to the rating here and also the price which included Breakfast - priced at 40 euros for the double room which is excellent.

The previous reviewer is so right about the wind off the mountains... but inside the hotel you'll not notice it at all. We found the receptionist very helpful, even down to the fact after checking us in when we asked about WIFI she then reassigned a room on the first floor as the reception is better for WIfi there.
The room was huge, and the views to the mountains spectacular with the almond blossom in full flower.

If I had to criticise then it would be that the bed was a very bouncy one.... and if you like a good nights sleep as a couple then maybe twin bed might be better. the air con/heating worked a treat and warmed the room up well for us after our cold ride down the mountains.

Although normally we don't like to use the hotel restaurant, there was such a good recommendation from other reviewers about it, that we decided to try it out... and in fact had a cracking meal - consisting of -
Bread, Salad, choice of about 4 starters, (we had pasta with 4 cheese sauce) choice of 4 main (we had sole served with chips and a small selection of veg), and about 6 desserts (we had ice cream), followed by coffee, in addition to a bottle of wine and large bottle of water... all for 13 euros a head.

Breakfast was your standard Spanish style, drinks, juices, cereal, breads, cakes, cheese and ham, tomato. All very fresh and as much as you can eat.

I would certainly return there, and explore the town a bit more the next time... we were far too cold and more looking forward to a hot deep bath!!

This hotel is very new and conveniently situated about 15kms off the AP7 - ideal for an overnight stop on the way south. The two brothers who man the Reception (one in the day, one in the evening) speak good English and are very polite and helpful. The rooms are very comfortable and the hotel were very willing when we wanted to swap our original room for one with a double bed (if you book in advance, I suggest you specify if you want a double bed as most Spanish hotels seem to allocate twin beds as the norm). The hotel restaurant served a truly marvellous 3 course evening meal for just 11 Euros per person with plenty of choice at each course and the guy on Reception came into the restaurant, unprompted, to translate the menu for us! One word of warning - the restaurant didn't open until 9pm - quite late for most northern European travellers but it was worth the wait. Breakfast was the usual croissant, breads etc and fresh orange juice from the local orange groves we drove through on the way there.
Hotel directions by email were a little misleading (but were in English) and we got lost in the town! Suggest that you look out for the industrial estate full of furniture outlets (mobles) on the right as you approach the town of La Senia, turn right into the industrial estate, carry on to roundabout, turn right towards Santa Barbara and hotel is in 50m on left. The view to the front is over the furniture units but to the back and side are stunning mountain views.
