This chic and modern hotel would give competition to the best hotels in Barcelona or Madrid but instead it is in this beautiful old Spanish town. We were relieved to find this hotel amongst the rather dated typical Spanish hotels also listed for this area. Mora de Rubielos is only 30mins off the main Valencia / Teruel road and it is worth the detour. (We also visited Teruel and Albaricin). Narrow cobbled streets, beautiful castle (which you can look around), little bars selling tapas and the people are very friendly. You will not find anyone who speaks English or German - only Spanish - which is why you go to these towns. We only stayed one night in the hotel so did not use the spa facilities, but I would imagine they would be very good. We did however eat in the reseraunt - which was excellent. We had the set menu and wished we had been more adventerous and had the taster menu. The only negative point with the hotel is that there was a misunderstanding over the final bill and this had been because ony a few members of staff spoke broken English and there had been a misunderstanding. However the manager we spoke to (who did speak English) was very professional about the small issue
