We came upon this hotel by chance and were delighted to find that they were serving lunch in their restaurant. The menu of the day on Monday through to Wednesday is 15 euros for lunch in May.
The menu consisted of 3 courses (normal) each course offering 4 choices. A bottle of wine seemed to be included in the price but as we cannot speak any Spanish we failed to understand this wonderful bonus.... the wine was excellent.
Here are my choices expressed in English.
Entree, Semi frozen tiny balls of honeydew, watermelon and peeled cherry floating in a chilled honeydew sauce.
It was delicious, refreshing and cleansing to the palate.
Main, Confit of duck served with caramelised miniature pears. The generous amount of caramelised sauce acting as a foil to the saltiness of the duck.
This tasted really good.
Dessert, A pana cotta made from sheep's milk, topped with finely chopped dried peach.
Perfect !
So this gives you an idea of how good this restaurant is. I only wish I could go back again today.
