I had no seen the TV programme only heard other peoples views. The Chateau was beautiful, it has been furnished and finished to a very high standard and the rooms are very comfortable. It is situated in a small village which has some wonderful scenery. The service was second to none and the food , served in the old chapel is exceptional. Very freindly and homely atmosphere. Brataslava is a beautiful city and must be visited and the small town of Piestany is stunning. The chateau has exellent spa treatments and the spa in piestany is a must.
Although there is still some work to be done outside and on the upper floor do not let this cloud your judgement, our party of four had a wonderful time and great fun. We would all recommend a visit to The Chateau and Ann and David were very gracious and attentive hosts, nothing was too much for them.

Just returned from a long weekend breack at the Chateau. there were 4 of us in my party and we found the rooms to be of a good standard and the food was excellent the service was the same nothing was to much trouble for the staff, and the owners too.
would recommend this to anyone had a really great time would go again tomorrow.

We spent one night at the chateau. Inside it is beautiful, everything is perfectly designed in keeping with the history of the property. The restaurant is set in a tiny chapel and is very atmospheric and romantic, the food was very good and the wine excellent.
We stayed in one of the cheaper rooms which again was beautifully decorated.
The owners and staff were very nice and friendly and attentive.
It was a very enjoyable short break.

We booked this hotel in Jan 2006 for a stay in Feb 2006. I spoke to one of the owners a couple of times and exchanged emails confirming the reservation and transfer. Unfortunately, when we arrived at the airport there was no transfer and when we called the owner we were told the hotel was not yet open!! On promises of compensation we booked alternative accommodation and contacted them again on our return to the UK. Not one email, letter or call was returned. While I can't comment on the quality of the hotel I can say that, in my experience, this is not a professional business.
