Stayed here recently whilst at an exhibition at the NEC. As it a business orientated it ticks many boxes in terms of facilities but it is shameless in exploiting its captive NEC market and the service levels were very inconsistent. The Restaurant serves very ordinary food and is frankly appalling value. The bar food is better value but limited. The room was clean, but lacked any personality. The reception staff were excellent but some of the other staff were disinterested and patently had no instinct for service.
Perhaps they take on temps when there are exhibitions on, if this is so they need to train them up better!
On this evidence my advice would be only to stay here if convenience is more important to you than service.

Looling tired and 1980's. Clean and convenient for NEC and motorways. Spa is ok but one towel per guest policy is very irritating! Lots of MSG in the food but it was ok. Needs money spent on it.

Difficult to find - luckily it is signposted from the main road.
Staff very friendly and customer focussed, restaurant overpriced for what is basic food, but the breakfast was reasonably priced.
Room was clean and tidy, but too warm, and my room was adjacent to some kind of plant room which provided constant background noise.
Value-wise it is good at around £70 per night, when compared to the other hotels in the area.

Although the hotel is not on the NEC grounds, a 5 minute walk around the back of the hotel gets you to the NEC train station, and the rest of the walking is all covered walkways within the NEC facility. The hotel is cheaper than the other onsite hotels and has great amenities. We left the car at the hotel and walked. Hotel has snooker tables, separate TV room for sports fans, great resturaunt and breakfast. Staff at both the front desk and bar were courteous, friendly and worked with a smile.
