I bet this place is buzzing in summer. It's right on the edge of the Loch with stunning views of the mountains beyond. My visit was in the dead of winter which had its own merits. Mainly that it was deadly quiet; the handful of guest that were staying were amply served by the staff that were on.
Despite the football in the bar area, I was struck by the calm that flowed through the place. I spent the evening in the pool and steam room (which is excellently hot) then enjoyed a paper and a pint sat before the open fire.
A good night's sleep was helped by total silence, the like of which I've never known before. And in the morning, with this being winter, we saw the sun rise over the mountains while scraping the car.
Well done to the staff for keeping the standards so high when there are so few guests to care for.
