“Very quiet spot by the river”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

Booked as somewhere off the beaten track as I'm a bit fed up of stopping by the motorway.

Very quiet spot by the river.

Warm welcome, good sized rooms. I had to turn the radiator up from the frost setting as the room was cold when went in.

Nice view of the river.

Very high quality food and I can recommend the buffet starter and the lamb main (with enough vegetables to feed my family at Sunday lunch).

Surprised that the wood burning stove was not lit in reception as it was a very cold night.

Used the gym and pool area and the whole hotel was very clean.

Great staff (thanks for the photocopies this morning).

Room Tip: River view rooms a must.

“Perfect night away!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 January 2012

My Husband and I decided to treat ourselves to a relaxing night away from home...and couldn't have picked anywhere better!! We arrived at the hotel to a very warm welcome and nothing seemed too much trouble! We had use of the hotel facilities including pool and sauna which was relaxing! Evening meal was out of this world...I can honestly say that I haven't had a meal like I had at the three rivers in a long time...very reasonably priced too! Our room was fantastic with fantastic views over looking the estuary...very clean too! Breakfast was excellent and plenty on offer! The owners took time at breakfast to sit and chat to us too which was nice, such a lovely couple! A perfect night in a perfect place and we definitely intend on visiting the three rivers again!

“Lovely Weekend Break”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 December 2011

I have stayed at the three rivers hotel several times, but this time a friend booked one of the holiday cottages just 1/2 mile from the main hotel. Once again we found high standards which match the hotels reputation. The cottage is well decorated, and has every thing you need for a relaxing weekend or holiday. Ample parking for two cars, well fitted kitchen and a nice bathroom. Large double bedroom and single room and a good sitting/dining room. The kitchen is well fitted with full sized cooker, fridge and freezer, microwave and dishwasher for anyone wishing to stay in and cook. What I like about The Three rivers is the warm welcome and helpful staff are always pleased to see you. People staying in the cottages are also able to use the hotel swimming pool , gym etc free of charge which is an added bonus.

Room Tip: Ask what is available when you book, I have often been upgraded foc

“cosy, quiet, hidden gem”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 November 2011

my husband and i were looking for a weekend getaway, phoned the three rivers asked for a room upgrade which they gave us straight away,
arrived and recieved a warm welcome, had a lovely evening meal,
room was clean beds very comfy, staff friendly and nothing to much trouble,
pool was lovely although did did have a leak so it wasnt full but we managed a swim and the steam room wasnt working so a little dissapointed,
breakfast was average but plentyful, owner came and chatted both mornings and offered us a free 3 course sunday lunch before we left which was lovely,
some negative points were the hotel was very quiet, and seemed a little sad and unloved in places,
gym, pool area and grounds needed a little sprucing up, but all in all a lovely hotel for a weekend break beautiful veiws, and walks,
