“Return Visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2012

So after a very enjoyable first stay in 2011 - for which we gave a well-deserved review on TripAdvisor - we booked again for a return visit. But we wondered: could it be as good? Second time round would we see some faults? Might we think that two years at Casa Sibarita was enough?

Not at all. Already we have reserved for a third year - this time for the week of the local falla (fiesta) when we shall see how the Spanish celebrate in a village where they don't have to think much about tourists.

And we shall be confident that the welcome and the hospitality and the service and the food and the whole atmosphere will be every bit as good as it has been twice before. Keep it up, please, Neil and Simon (and Issy and Basil). Thank you. Ten out of ten.

Room Tip: The rooms with their own terraces are at the back.

“A wonderful stay in a stunning hotel.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 January 2012

After an hour drive from the airport we got into the village and were greeted the warmest of welcomes, by the owners.
I was in awe of this place when I walked through the very grand entrance door. The hotel itself is beautiful and exquisite in décor but also very comfortable.
We were in a twin room, which was very clean and elegantly decorated. The ensuite shower room was again in keeping with the rest of the place, so clean I could swear that it had just been put in, however I know that this wasn’t the case. Although you would never guess!
The communal area’s are just as well cared for and loved like every other part of the hotel. I spent a lot of time relaxing in the sunshine outside by the pool!
The food was divine! With every one of our groups dietary requirements carefully catered for.
The surrounding village itself is also very welcoming and we took a walk into the fields of orange groves a short walk away from the hotel, trees dripping with oranges as far as the eye could see.
The owners were more than happy to help with anything we needed or wanted, they have managed to create that rare perfect balance of great service without being intrusive.
Essentially in my opinion if you choose not to go to this charming hotel, you really will be missing out on a superb stay in an idyllic hotel.

Room Tip: This place has 5 rooms and the only difference is if you wanted a twin or a double as they are all o...

“Wonderful B&B nestled in a small town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 September 2011

Thoroughly enjoyed Mark's hospitality and absolutely delightful little B&B. This place is not in Valencia but it's definitely worth the short train ride and the cab ride to get here. All the cab drivers know this place, which is a great plus. This B&B is located in a small (I mean very very small town) up in the mountains right next to the tiny square...gave us such a warm cozy feeling, a true vacation from the city and hustle. Beautiful, clean and quite rooms. We gave our laundry at 10:00pm and Neil had it all ready by 10:00am in the morning. Too bad we could only stay 1 night here...the next time, we're coming back here for a longer stay and to have dinner here. The pool was awesome. Overall - 4 thumbs up (2 mine and 2 hubby's) :D

“A gem of a place in a sleepy Spanish town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 September 2011

A gem of a place in a sleepy Spanish town. A really lovely place to stay. The best thing about this place is couple that run it. Neil provides the amazing food and Simon is a fabulous front of house and will happily recommend places to visit, restaurants, sites, beaches and the like. I would happily go back for another visit soon!

Room Tip: All of the rooms are nice, the ones at the back have large balconies which look onto the pool

“a hidden jewel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 September 2011

Casa Sibarita is the perfect place to base yourself if you want to a) be near Valencia but not in it - the hourly train from the nearby railway station takes just 40 minutes and costs 5 euros for a return ticket b) have access to the coast and its beaches (again, just 40 minutes drive to a whole selection of sandy beaches c) have a selection of small towns/cultural sites in the countryside to visit and d) have the wonderful comfort of a really well appointed b&b (including airconditioning in summer!) and excellent food, cooked by the co-owner Neil. You should have at least one dinner there as the cooking is so delicious; most guests ,ourselves included, would be tempted to eat there more often, though it's also nice to eat out in Valencia or nearby Xativa if you're on holiday and visiting the country. The rooms overlooking the courtyard pool are best, if you can get one. We stayed for a week, and also spent 3 nights in one of the rooms overlooking the street, which was also fine. You'll need a (rented) car if you're going to get the most out of being there. Neil and Simon, the owners, are wonderful hosts. Not only do they have a stack of guides and maps you can consult and borrow, they will happily advise you where to go and how best to get there. Everything is spotless. Oh, and the prices are very reasonable. What more could one ask for!
