“Wonderful B&B nestled in a small town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 September 2011

Thoroughly enjoyed Mark's hospitality and absolutely delightful little B&B. This place is not in Valencia but it's definitely worth the short train ride and the cab ride to get here. All the cab drivers know this place, which is a great plus. This B&B is located in a small (I mean very very small town) up in the mountains right next to the tiny square...gave us such a warm cozy feeling, a true vacation from the city and hustle. Beautiful, clean and quite rooms. We gave our laundry at 10:00pm and Neil had it all ready by 10:00am in the morning. Too bad we could only stay 1 night here...the next time, we're coming back here for a longer stay and to have dinner here. The pool was awesome. Overall - 4 thumbs up (2 mine and 2 hubby's) :D

“A gem of a place in a sleepy Spanish town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 September 2011

A gem of a place in a sleepy Spanish town. A really lovely place to stay. The best thing about this place is couple that run it. Neil provides the amazing food and Simon is a fabulous front of house and will happily recommend places to visit, restaurants, sites, beaches and the like. I would happily go back for another visit soon!

Room Tip: All of the rooms are nice, the ones at the back have large balconies which look onto the pool

“a hidden jewel”

Casa Sibarita is the perfect place to base yourself if you want to a) be near Valencia but not in it - the hourly train from the nearby railway station takes just 40 minutes and costs 5 euros for a return ticket b) have access to the coast and its beaches (again, just 40 minutes drive to a whole selection of sandy beaches c) have a selection of small towns/cultural sites in the countryside to visit and d) have the wonderful comfort of a really well appointed b&b (including airconditioning in summer!) and excellent food, cooked by the co-owner Neil. You should have at least one dinner there as the cooking is so delicious; most guests ,ourselves included, would be tempted to eat there more often, though it's also nice to eat out in Valencia or nearby Xativa if you're on holiday and visiting the country. The rooms overlooking the courtyard pool are best, if you can get one. We stayed for a week, and also spent 3 nights in one of the rooms overlooking the street, which was also fine. You'll need a (rented) car if you're going to get the most out of being there. Neil and Simon, the owners, are wonderful hosts. Not only do they have a stack of guides and maps you can consult and borrow, they will happily advise you where to go and how best to get there. Everything is spotless. Oh, and the prices are very reasonable. What more could one ask for!

“Third time and still just an amazing place! Spain, the way you want to live it.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 August 2011

After having visited this delightfull place already twice over the years with two of my sons, this time we booked the whole place for the complete family for some 8 days. Our kids as well as my wife and I (again) had a wonderfull time here.
I have to say, it cán be quite a challenge to keep 4 somewhat spoiled teeagers/students satisfied in this tranquille part of Spain, but each of our kids mentioned afterwards that they definately do want to return, having enjoyed every mnute of their stay here.

Of course the Fiesta helped a bit. This usually quite quiet little Spanish village turns into an even vibrant town where its inhabitants celibrate historic facts in making lots of music, with spectacular parades, late evening dining on the streets and attractive fireworks. Friendlyness all around (and you do not even have to speak Spanish for that) and celebrations without the downside of it.
In fact I should not tell this on this site but one could not trace one single tourist in town (except for ourselves then). We felt fortunate to have been given the opportunity of this glimp of (of course a part of) real Spanish life.

However, the other 51 weeks in a year this is indeed a quiet Spanish town with obviously its own attraction, but indeed not a town where there's a lot to be seen or done. One could think it sleeps for the rest of the year. What makes it attractive - besides the Casa- is the fairly easy distance (by train as well as by car) to the splendid city of Valencia, the lovely countryside, the beaches of Cullera and Gandia and other attractive towns like Xátiva.

And what more can I say about the Casa Siberita what has not been mentioned on this site so many times before. Believe it; it's all true. The place is still immaculately kept. Good airconditioned rooms, great showers, nice backyard with shower and pool.
Food is delicious (Neil, you've really outdone yourselve this time!) and obviously very good hosts who understand the 'art' of having a nice word for (and adapting to-) every guest, being there where- and whenever you need them without imposing.

Thanks again guys, we spent a memorable week with you there. And as mentioned, we'll be back.
