I Stayed five days at the Hotel Riml in Hochgurgl. Allready from the arrival the service was a pleasure. The car was taken care of and and parked in a closed garage, bags was carried to the room and a welcome drink was served.
I stayed in a Double Room on the north side, overlooking the Ötztal valley. The room was nice, quite big and very clean. There was both bathtub and shower. Only minus was the slight distant noise from the Afterski bar below the room, but I didnt find that it was annoying to me at any point. Wifi acces was free of charge, to acces you needed to obtain a ticket from the reception .In the hotel there was a ski storage with a separate locker for each room.

Breakfeast and dinner were included in the room rate. Breakfeast was served from a rich buffet, with almost everything you could ask for. Dinner was served at your table. The dinner menu consisted of 4-5 courses every night with a choice of at least two soups and 3 main courses (meat, fish and vegetarian). Food quality was god and the staff was very kind and observant too the guests needs. Drinks were paid for seperately by signing a reciept before leaving the table and charged on the hotel credit system. At the departure all the signed reciepts were stapled to the bill, so there was no confusion.

The hotel had a very nice wellness and pool area overlooking the town and valley. Of other indoor activities there was golfsimulators in connection to the in-hotel After-Ski bar.

Skipass was provided in the reception. The Intersport Rentalshop was located in connection to the Hotel. The shop also sold different equipment, and had a small section with different magazines, soft drinks and snacks and personal hygiene items. Be aware that there are no grochery shop in Hochgurgl!

The Hotel was rigth at the slopes which was accessed by climbing a narrow steel staircase. Skiing in Hochgurl/Obergurgl, was a great experience. Snow and piste conditions were extremely god, due to cold weather and the high altitude. There were no queues at the lifts, and the area didn´t at any time feel crowded.

Hochgurgl is perfect for relaxation and are very quiet. If you are looking for party and afterskiing you would need to go somewhere else! I found the area perfect for my needs and I did not miss the afterskiing experience.

Best location, excellent facilities (aside from the rather voyeuristic spa area!), and amaxing food. Thanks to the Riml family, great time.

Before you ask the answer will be " for sure, no problem." from the bell boy to the Boss that is the answer! ski in, ski out, could not get much closer to the snow. Hire all your gear from the on-site Ski shop,all new hire stuff each year, collect your lift pass from reception and your gone, that easy. Rooms perfect,very clean bright and airy. Refreshingly Stylish and smart and that was just the starter, the half board food was a culinary delight, all enjoyed with a superb wine list. Not forgetting the indoor golf, play on any of the world's best courses while sipping a cool beer. Not only the highest 4 star but the BEST 4 star in the Alps! The Spa and swimming pool ....pure luxury after a day on the slopes.

The only complaint I would have is that the hotel is to hot ( well I do live in Ireland! )

Had a fantastic week at this hotel. We went with our one year old baby and the hotel were very accommodating regarding his food needs. We utilized the hotel nursery, nanny very friendly and seemed capable. Swimming pool too cold for a little one but he had good fun crawling around it. As long as you are not looking for a night life would recommend for excellent skiing conditions, good food, excellent spa (as long as you're ok with mixed nudity!) and friendly staff.
