We stayed in the 'piggery' for a week. Self catering. We were lucky in having hot and sunny weather. We had taken our sun chairs so we could just rile the day away, on our private lawn. We were also lucky ,in that it ,was hay making time. A real insight to what the farmers ( ours was Quentin, the owner of the farm) have to do. I never realised the hard work and precision timing that has to go into haymaking. A lovely quiet location. Mobile phone signal hard to get at times. A village shop about a mile away in Hindon has just opened and the staff are very friendly. There you can buy the basic food you would require, to buy a weekly shop you would have to travel about 4 mile to Tisbury. All shops are there to meet all your requirements. Lots of country pubs for lunch or evening meals, in surrounding area.Excellant comfortable accomadation, other than the friendly chickens and the dogs and cat you have total privacy. For a real getaway from it all, no cars, no nothing, just nature, this is the best place to go to unwind and recharge your batteries.Very good location for walks and near to all places of interest . Maggie and Quentin are the perfect host whether it be in the house on a bed and breakfast basis or self catering in the 'piggery'. Their priority is to make your stay as welcoming and as comfortable as can be, and this they both do with a friendliness. and caring attitude.A perfect weeks holiday.
