My husband and I did not like our room and would not stay here again. The room was in disrepair with paint chips falling off the walls and door, poor lighting and light bulbs missing. The water pressure was terrible for hours on end, It would go down to a tiny trickle of water making it nearly impossible to wash my hair or even wash the sand off after a day at the beach. There were no paintings or pictures on the walls, the bed kept falling apart and the kitchenette was terrible. There are two rusted out hot plates which we were afraid to use, a small refrigerator, microwave, and sink. Our room had one fork, one knife, a pot, a mug, a wine glass, and two cups. Also a rusty corkscrew/knife. Our phone did not work most of the time, with lots of static. The TV is nice but was placed precariously on a tower of magazines. The internet quality is poor with only a tiny space in the lobby having any, which can get very crowded. Also there are lots of mosquitos in the lobby/internet area, so be prepared for lots of bug bites. Loud music emanating from the Bikini bar is an issue if you want a quite nights sleep. There is no gym, but a rusted out closed off room with dilapidated equipment.
The location was great, with a short walk to the beach and the village with lots of wonderful food. You get complimentary basic yellow beach chairs and an umbrella, the cushioned ones cost extra. Also you can charge service at La playa beach bar and the spa hut to your room. Beach towels are hard to get, so we had to use regular towels given to us at the lobby. Next time we will stick to staying in brand name hotels. The Radissan, looked amazing.
