“Great location for walking, biking and relaxing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 June 2011

We stayed here during a Coast to Coast walk. Cambridge House is a short way out of Reeth. On arrival we were offered tea and shortbread, which we ate watching the birds from the conservatory and chatted to the other guests who were also walkers. It made for a relaxing start to our stay. The list of rules made me laugh but it could appear too strict for some people. Our room at the top of the house was well appointed and the en-suite bathroom was bright and spacious. There is a drying room too so we were able to wash a few items. Les is a real character, which you’ll discover when you stay!
The next morning we all sat around the table together and tucked in to Sandra’s generous breakfast. This is a great B&B with a choice of pubs half a mile away.
(We ate at the Buck Inn-unpretentious pub food.)

Room Tip: Both rooms at the top are great.

After a day of walking we were greeted with a fantastic tea with homemade goodies. Lovely breakfast and room. Great stay!

“Just the best weekend for relaxing!!”

Thank you to Sandra and Les for making our weekend so exceptional. Must have been one of the wettest (outside!) for a while, but the welcome was so warm (inside) that it just made our time very special. Highly recommend a stay here: afternoon homemade cake, delicious breakfasts, entertaining hosts....what more could you want!
and if it does rain when you visit be sure to go to Hardraw Force!! We did and got thoroughly soaked but it was worth it for the waterfall in full flood.

Our 5th or 6th visit to Cambridge House - it was as good as ever. Weather was fantastic which made the surrounding scenery even more stunning. Took friends with us who enjoyed their stay immensely. Already booked for next year!

“Lovely stay in a beautiful house and unspoilt area”

Cambridge House sits at the North side of Reeth. We only stayed here for 1 night, but were made very welcome throughout our short stay. The room was warm and comfortable with a great range of facilities. Powerful shower, comfy mattress and picturesque views over the rolling hills. Awesome breakfast as well. Couldn't fault Sandra or Les. Very nice people and would come back again.
