Stayed for the week in October 2011, Found it to be a modern, comfortable B & B with a wonderful host and excellent breakfast. Pauline ( along with Noodle and Yoda ) made us feel very welcome and she was very helpful with lots of ideas on what to see and do in the region. Ate at all the local pubs which had good food and great atmosphere with two being within easy walking distance, two more were 2 minutes drive away. We were sad to leave this 'fairy tale' little village.

My husband, 4 year old son, and I stayed at The Old Post House for 2 nights last month (September 2011).

As its name suggests, the house used to be a Post Office. It's been modernized, yet keeps much of its charm. Our room was a family room, with a double bed, single bed, desk, nightstands, TV, cupboard (closet). The ensuite WC with shower was a little tight, and we had some trouble getting the Power Shower quite right with regards to hot water. Bed was very comfortable; I was actually sick during this visit with a fever. The hosts kindly fixed a breakfast tray for me, which my husband brought up. I also stayed in the room the entirety of a day to sleep and was not disturbed at all.

The breakfasts were wonderful, as were our hosts and their two dogs and cat. Pauline had an excellent knowledge of local walking trails, hikes, and views. I wish we had more time (and I had the health!) to take some of her recommendations.

The location was in a quiet small village, very well situated near Salisbury and Stonehenge. If you want to be right in Salisbury, this isn't for you. We loved being in such a quiet and beautiful village.

This B & B was excellent in all regards. Our room was bright and clean, our breakfast was delicious and appealingly served. We were minutes away from Stonehenge and Salsbury Cathedral and, right outside our door were picturesque village homes and a beautiful church. Pauline is a warm and gracious hostess. It is easy to relax and enjoy!

We have just returned from a weekend break at The Old Post House. We found the accommodation faultless and the surroundings lovely. We were made to feel very welcome from the outset and were sorry when it was time to leave. Thankyou so much for such a lovely weekend stay at Great Wishford, and we will be coming back without a doubt. Noodles and Yoda were adorable.
