I visited the beautiful beach of Talamanca for holidays this year. I was actually pleasantly surprised by the service offered at the Argos hotel I stayed at. The hotel is located on the beach itself. The hotel is a lovely facility for the sun loungers who love beaches. The hotel has a part of the beach for the use of its clients exclusively. The hotel itself is a blend between a town and a holiday hotel.

Although the primary attraction of the hotel is its beach there were other advantages associated with it such as, it is located five minutes away from the city center. Here I found the best deals for activities such as water sports, casino, marina and one of the most popular night clubs in world in the Pacha night club. You can easily reach all the bays, airports, golf courses in Ibiza conveniently from this hotel.

Although the hotel appeared to be oldish it still had all the modern amenities you can ask for a pleasant stay in Ibiza. I thoroughly enjoyed visiting the Pacha night club though. It is worth staying at the Argos hotel just because of the proximity to the night club alone.

First impression, the front desk staff were very aloof, the hotel is nicely situated right on the beach, we booked a sea view room, we were on the first floor at the end of the hotel, there is a small marina starting at the end of the beach, if you stay in one of these rooms the road is a little noisy as 4x4's are constantly reversing and driving down with small boats, the room was clean and very compact, too small for a 2 week stay really, you could not swing a cat, the Restaurant was nice, my only criticism was that the next door bar is connected to the eating area by doors, this door was often open, although this area was never busy, it was not pleasant as this is a smoking area and the smoke often drifts through, breakfast food was normal, lunches were pretty basic, dinners were lovely. Swimming pools, gym, and beach area all very nice.

This hotel was expensive but we did book at the last minute.
Rooms are clean and the sea view if you get one is excellent.
Air con not too good though.
Use the ferry taxis to get into town.

The cleaner are very noisy, there's always the noise of slamming doors every morning. If you plan to party all night and sleep all day, think again. You will be woken up every morning by the noise.

We arrival at 2:00am and was given a room on -1 floor beach view, which had two small bed when we had ask for a double bed. The room door was ajar and the room smelt really bad. They had said there was no other room but when we said we were going to go somewhere else, they came up with a room on the 5th floor that had a double bed. This room also smelt bad but at least smelt less then the first.

It has a tv, a bar fridge and a bidet (bum washer). It seems to have all the amenities of a four star hotel but just does not feel like one, it seems lacking compared to other four star hotels I've been to. After the second day the room didn't smell anymore but again it smells today (4th day).

The view and location seem ok, I would recommend it people on a low budget that like to wake up early while on holiday. I'm just hate rooms that smell and bathrooms that are not clean and having my sleep disrupted.
