“Good for relaxing holidays, specially with kids!”

It's an apartment complex (which I find very pleasent rather than rooms), in a pine complex which makes it very enjoyable and allows lots of fresh shadows. It's was almost everything you need in holidays, in a 3star mode. You have to like Nature and silence. You must not aim for 5* Spa treatment or big chain 4* hoteles of Riviera Maya, for instance. It has it all, but the complex has some years (besides well preserved), and has average services.
It has small pool, big pool with swimming possibility, pool for children, tenis court, italian animation team (main animation) and other minor team (related with tourism operatores), food is enough to let you eat properly (average quality), apartments are perfect for relaxed holidays (with kitchenette and balcony). Beach is 400m away and its outstanding (you walk though a path among the natural dunes - Menorca is a Biosphere and World Nature Heritage). Check the pics and go if you have a open mind and not esquizite standards.
Excelent rate quality/price ( I paid 100€/day with All Inclusive for 2 adults + 1 child, for us all, not by person)!

Room Tip: Not necessary, all rooms are good , as they are apartments, However, rooms till nr 150 or so, are cl...

“Relaxing, enjoyable hotel with helpful friendly staff very child friendly!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 October 2010

A nice quiet resort and peacefull hotel as we went in october. Hotel very clean, staff very helpful and I enjoyed the sourounding pine forrest which gave shade if needed. The rooms were spacious and well equiped. We were self catering so was pleasantly surprised to find 4 nice reasturants a short walk away all very nice and friendly and not too expensive. These ranged from typical english food (Rex's), chinese or local spanish fayre (Pino Mar). I would recommend going this time of year if you are after a quiet peacefull holiday but beware it is the rainy season so expect the odd torential downpour but there was still some sun, reaching 25 c some days.

The night life at this time of year is limited to 2 pubs both very friendly and enjoyable. We felt very welcommed by Drew at The Half Moon and Andreas at BJs.

There is a bus stop outside hotel which goes to capital Mahon and next town over but service is limited so I would recommend car hire.

“Pleasantly Surprised”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 October 2010

After reading some of the comments posted about this accommodation,as there was a bit of a mixed response, I wasn't quite sure what to expect. When we arrived, I was pleasantly surprised. The apartments are situated in a pine forest, and although we didn't go at the hottest part of the year, it would be a lovely place to go and stay cool in the heat of summer. The apartments were quite old fashioned and no frills, but they were clean and everything worked - apart from the tv - only 1 watchable English channel. The pool areas and the grounds were kept clean and tidy, and it was only a short walk down to the lovely sandy beach. The walk back up from the beach on the boardwalk was a bit of a struggle the first couple of days at is was on a bit of a slope - but we soon got used to that. It would be a problem though for those with walking difficulties and a bit of a struggle with buggies. At the accommodation, as the pathways have trees planted in them here and there, it would prove a bit of a challenge for those with walking difficulties to get around. All in all, we had a lovely time and would visit again. Son Parc is a quiet resort - no discos or loud music bars - just a few restaurants, but that was one of the things that we liked about the resort. It is also a great area for walking - just about a 15 minute walk to Arenal d'en Castell along the clifftops.

“Great Holiday Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 September 2010

I have used these review sites for a number of years and always take a balanced view of the reviews. Some people are terminally unhappy and dissatisfied whatever happens, others go with an open mind and just enjoy what they discover. I tend to fall into the latter category, although I can be objective enough to identify the faults.
So Sol Parc Apartments in Son Parc (Menorca).
I have been travelling the world for over 25 years and will say that this location is my favourite for a peaceful, safe and relaxing holiday. This is the third time I have been here in 20 years. The location is exceptional - one of the nicest beaches in the med with a resort that offers very reasonable facilities.
First location: The beach is a good size with a few boats for hire and sunbeds/umbrella to hire (very expensive 15 euro per day). It is cheaper to buy an umbrella at one of the many shops (7-15 euro) and use it for the whole holiday. The water was warm and shallow with little current. The resort is built in woodland so there is always plenty of tree cover offering a respite from the heat of the sun - perfect. There are two children's pools and two adult pools - all pretty good and decent sizes. There are childrens slides, several parks (for all ages) and a mini-golf (5 euros for 1 hr). There is also a small games arcade, some pool tables and table-tennis. The supermarket on-site is fairly reasonable for a holiday location, but there are also other closeby.
Since my previous visit the site has been expanded and upgraded. It feels clean and well used - it is not fancy or over luxurious (if you like 4* you will be dissappointed). I believe a 2* rating is about right (near 3* with a little extra work). I found the staff to be really helpful and friendly (just remember to treat everyone with respect and not as servants).
Food: I am undecided on this. I do believe that you need to expect a local menu as the resort is not huge and this is what you get generally. The food is not exceptional, but okay. There are plenty of other eating places off-site. We all found something to eat each day, but I was glad to get home have some English food again! I think this is just part of the experience.
Climate: The temperature (last week of Aug) was perfect. It varied from mid 20s to about 32C.
Other Guests: I must say we found other guests to be very good. They were considerate and kids generally well behaved. Over 50% were English - the rest a mix of Dutch, Spanish and German, plus other no doubt. I think the English took over due to the school term holidays. Most people had children. If you do not have children you may not find this resort so good for you.
General: The place is very children orientated. From the pools to the dining area there are plenty of facilities for children.
I hope my review is helpful. We used Sunset (Thomas Cook) and found the whole experience a pleasure. We went with modest expectations and left very happy that they were all exceeded. We will remember sitting on our balcony watching the night come in with a drink and feeling of peaceful relaxation.

“Not good for British families”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 June 2010

We are just back from Sol Parc last week. We went for 12 days all inclusive. We booked a 2 bedroom apartment but were pleased to find we got a 2 bedroomed house as our accomodation. It was very spacious and suited our requirements.
There is a maid service every 2 days to change bedding and towels.
Beach is nice with shallow water quite a bit out (good for kids).
Pool is surrounded by pine trees and made it a bit cold in water and nowhere to sunbathe. Nobody ever really went to pool.
Food in restaurant was not the best. Some nights the kids were just eating plain pasta and chips cause there was nothing suitable. Alot of food is aimed at Dutch and Germans. We didn't have a clue what some things even were. You can also have "dinner out". You go to reception with your restaurant card the night before you want to go out and they will book you into one of 3 local restaurants. You only pay for your drinks. Our rep new nothing about this when I asked about it . I had seen it previously on a review. Just ask reception.
British kids club is non-exsistant. There is a Spanish one and a Dutch one. They do not include British kids. I booked holiday thinking there would be club and then got letter 2 weeks before holiday informing me that there was none.
Entertainment is also non-exsistant. There were dancers on 1 night out of our 12 day stay.
All inclusive also a bit restricting. They had a pool bar but you could only order food at certain times of day. only 1 bar open at a time. barbeque area was not open when we went either.
There was not alot else in resort but a 30 minute bus ride takes you to Mahon. Bus stops outside hotel and is very good.
I have been to Menorca before but would not rush back to this resort.
