An unprepossessing building in an unspectacular area hides a gem of a hotel. We received a warm welcome, a full tour of our large room and its excellent modern bathroom and all the help we needed from Brigitte. The breakfast buffet was more than adequate. Our only regret was that we were spending just the one night in the region. The final bonus was the very reasonable bill. Why this hotel has just a two-star rating I have no idea. The facilities are of a high standard. We would be very happy to return.

An unwelcoming exterior in an unlovely part of town, the Hotel Bristol nevertheless turned out to be a first-rate place to say whilst passing through this part of France. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was of a very high standard indeed - better than found in many much more expensive hotels. Breakfast was fine and the price was low.

This was probably the best run hotel we stayed in on a fortnight's trip round France. It isn't in the prettiest part of a not especially pretty town but it is excellent as a stopover. The owners are very friendly and helpful, not always the case in France. The quality of the rooms put many a supposedly posher hotel to shame.

Directions from autoroute were excellent, so hotel very easy to find. Rooms and facilities were good and clean, and breakfast buffet the most extensive we've encountered in many years' travelling in France, there was even a kettle to make tea with really hot water! Would definitely stay here again.
