Booked months in advance for the gastronomic weekend of rugby in october. Although 9 km from the centre of town it proved to be a great place to stay. friendly staff and the accommodation for 5 gents was more than enough room. a twin, two doubles and lounge sofa bed, two toilets (v important!) and a shower and seperate bathroom very welcome. brought our own bread/cheese etc for breakfast and enjoyed a rather chilly, but welcome dip in the outdoor pool in the morning. would recommend it for families and bunches of people travelling together

I decided to stay here because I have been traveling for 2+ months and staying in hotels the entire time. I like the idea of having a washing machine, as well as a kitchen and some space to move around in for once. While the washer was ideal, I was disappointed in the cleanliness of the kitchen. I didn't feel the utensils and cups had been washed in the dishwasher, as there was some dried food stuck to them. Then, the bedroom, complete with shower/tub/sink was upstairs, however the toilet was downstairs, underneath the stairs. I found this to be a hassle when getting ready for bed. In addition, I made the mistake of walking barefoot on the first day and was suprised to find how dirty my feet were, the floors hadn't been mopped in who knows how long. To make matters worse, the upstairs, where you slept, was infested with some tiny little bugs. I found 5-7 in the bed every day, they were on the walls and all around the bathroom floor. I guess that's what happens when the place isn't cleaned every day.

The apartment is located about a 10 minutes walk to the bus station, it's then a 10 minute ride on the bus once it arrives, and then another 10 minute ride to the train station once the metro arrives. It was pretty easy to get to considering, but I didn't realize the location was so far out.

In the future I would not stay in Plan de cuques if I will be visiting Marseille, nor would I recommend this hotel, as I was very disappointed in the level of cleanliness.
