I booked with Sheraton based on previous experience with SPG and I guess this is simply not your typical Sheraton. The rooms were spacious but could be considered a little dated and worn. The single(ish) bed was very comfortable however and the bathroom was spotless so there isn't much more you need on a stop over. Complimentary coffee in the morning was particularly appreciated as we were up to catch a very early flight! I pre-paid to get a particularly good rate. If you can live with the risk of loosing out if you cancel its worth checking out this rate.
My only disappointment was actually more to do with my own research! With a day to spend in Munich on our Layover I had thought the safest bet would be to go with the airport hotel to ensure we could catch the early flight. I now know just how incredible the transport and connections are to Munich and if was to do this trip again would probably stay in central Munich and choose from the wider range of hotels. The coach to and from the airport to hotel was fine but the S1 or S8 gets you into central Munich for the same price return and in not much more time!
