I was a bit concerned about finding the place given everything written about japanese system of addresses. Turned out not to be a problem at all - we were given excellent instructions. Received a really warm welcome on our arrival too.
The place was an unusual combination of the modern and traditional - like the glass box exteriors. Rooms were tatami-matted and tiny - not surprising this being Tokyo. OK too as we weren't in our room much. Everything including the shared facilities were spotless.
Loved being able to get tea, coffee, hot water at any time. They were generous too - offering coffee in the morning even though we were not having breakfast.
A lady (possibly the owner) was very helpful when we working out how to get to Haneda airport.
She suggested an express bus and rang the bus company on our behalf to check if we needed to buy tickets in advance.
Would recommend Andon Ryokan anytime. My only (tiny) complaint is I found it just a bit out of the way - particularly after a long day out and about.
