We stayed here for 7 days/6 night over Thanksgiving week. We chose this inn in Yanaka because we wanted something different from our last hotel in downtown Tokyo, and we love it! We especially love the wonderful and meandering side streets and quaint neighborhoods, the temples big and small, the cafes, restaurants, gift shops. The subway stop is a straight shot from the airport with the Limited Express (1,000 yen), about 70 minutes. Mind you, the "short walk" to the inn is not that short with luggage, so be warned; we lugged our bags down cobblestone streets and stairs. it's definitely short once you're baggage-free. I love the local Taito bus (100 yen!)--try it! It drives even into the narrowest streets and you get a wonderful glimpse of the neighborhood and houses of Yanaka. I recommend taking this little bus to Ueno for your trip back to Narita. It stops right outside the inn, takes less than 20 minutes to Ueno station, which is the first stop for the Limited Express to the airport. You'll get ample seats in the train before it fills up fast at the next Nippori stop. We'll definitely stay here again!
