When I first saw the location of BConte Asakusa, I was apprehensive. It was in the midst of a busy area with eateries and souvenir shops and I thought it would be noisy. It turned out not to be as bad as I anticipated. The room we had (705) faced the front and while some noise did travel up, the window glazing was adequate. The BConte is new and as such very clean and fresh-looking. The room was well designed - clean, simple lines with high tech mod cons and we especially loved the washer dryer and Ipod docking station! The bathroom was clean and well equipped and we were impressed with the AMAZING shower!! The bed (double bed) was a tad small for us but super comfortable! The surrounding area is lovely with the wonderful Sensoji temple a stone's throw away and traditional and modern shops juxtaposed to create an eclectic feel to the area. Great eateries abound with the features and decor remaining typically Japanese - traditional - untouched by modern minimalist ideas!
Staying at the BConte Asakusa made our holiday in Tokyo that much more lovely and we will definitely recommend it and return for another stay!!!
