The hotel was very close to Ueno station. There is also a breakfast buffet for 1300 yen on the first floor. They did not have many selctions though and the food was a bit cold. I would not recommend it if you expect it like Vegas styled breakfast buffets.. It was a little disappointing. I loved the air purifier and the face steamer as room amenities. The room was clean but the brown cushions on the bed was a bit smelly. Other than that, it was good to stay at this hotel.

We stayed here 3 nights in mid-November for our vacation in Tokyo. The hotel is good for its price level and the location is great: across the street from Ueno Station, several subway stations nearby, not far from Asakusa. We ended up taking taxis a lot but it was by choice, there were plenty of mass transit options and it would be feasible to walk to Asakusa. The room was extremely small, but we expected that. Front desk staff was very helpful. Hotel is very clean and modern. We especially appreciated the free wifi!

The location is really great, just a 3-5 minute walk from Ueno subway station. (Someone before said that this hotel is "really not in Tokyo", that's not true Tokyo is just big, not everything is around Tokyo central station. Ueno is one if the busier stations in Tokyo. So I would say quite central)
You have both the Ginza line, Hibiya line, Yamanote line and the Airport train stopping here. Does not get any better than that.
The closest subway exit is literally 30 meters from the hotel exit (check google street view, go left when you exit the hotel)

That is all I really want from a hotel, if it had had a pool, a sauna and a gym it would deserve 6 stars =)

Breakfast is good too btw! Very Japanese/Contenental mixed in a bit of a weird way but hey :)

I found this to be a great location - within a couple of blocks of Ueno station (Narita Skyliner stops here) and less than a mile from Asakusa. This is a typical little Tokyo room hotel but very clean and well appointed. I think we startled the staff in that we were the only gaijin staying there but we found everyone polite and accomodating. I would definitely stay again - no outside noise heard though we were on a main street, comfortable beds, and lots of breakfast/coffee places to choose in the morning. There is a restaurant in the hotel but it was Italian and, well, we were in Japan not Italy.
