Our room was a:DOUBLE A / 1 DOUBLE BED / NON SMOKING / 15 SQ.M(doans)
(WITH FULL BATHROOM/NON SMOKING)
for JPY8,000(Including service charge and taxes)]
I'm glad we didn't get any smaller bed because this was barely big enough for people used to a queen. All the positive reviews are accurate. Our room was away from the station side; we asked for that because others warned that the other side was noisy. We could hear some train noise, but it was fine.
Did not care the view from the windows but had enough sun light coming inside of the room !
More than enough amenities that you can get !
Free both of wash machines and dry machines ! (but dry machines takes 2hrs to get done)
Very close to the statiions ! (less than 3min walk from the JR Asakusa-bashi station)(To go to shinjyuku only take 15min)
The hotel has an exclusive entrance to the 24hr convenience store called Lawson downstairs ! There are more Convenience stores around the hotel within your walk distance !
The room was clean, cute, and comfortable but having big luggages more than 2 made the room really tiny since the room was already small !
The hotel wokers are all great ! They are very friendly and very helpful !
Overall, I was happy, comfortable and really think that was gerat deal and great value !
I'd definitely consider staying here again ! It was a great price with the location !!
Great value and convenient location in Asakusa-bashi.
The hotel is less than a 3 minute walk from the JR Asakusa-bashi station. Although there is one disadvantage: No escalator to get to the JR train platform (in none of both entrances). Only to the subway entrance (different trains). It didn't bother us, but its a no-no for a disabled person.
With that said, once you get to the hotel, the staff is amazing. They were very helpful with everything we needed, especially Akira San, who spoke perfect English and kept a smile from teaching us how to use the washing machine to keeping our luggage for 10 days while we went touring around Japan. We felt very welcome.
Cleanliness is a rule in Japan and this hotel was no exception. Air conditioner and refrigerator worked perfectly and everything looked very new and well maintained.
The hotel has an exclusive entrance to the Lawson (24h convenience store) downstairs. So you can go get snacks on your slippers, just open the door that connects the lobby to the store using your room key. But you don't need to use this door. You can go outside and run around the block to Lawson main entrance (less than a minute walk). There is another one two blocks away and a couple of restaurants and Izakayas nearby the subway station.
I would definitely stay there again.
I must say that for what it offered, this hotel is a great deal, specially if you make a reservation with enough anticipation. Indeed, from what other reviewers say, rooms are somewhat smaller than the average western hotel, however it more than compensates with all the amenities it can offer. Excellent bathrooms, spot on cleanliness, great beds, and as we were on the 14th floor, quite a view too! We could even see Mt. Fuji at mornings.
The staff are great, not all of them speak English but if you have a good dictionary and some basic vocabulary you'll be fine. Expect a warm greeting every morning and evening.
The Lawson convenience store directly attached to the lobby is an excellent asset that can basically tend to any basic need your could think of while checked-inn, be it food or else.
Location is excellent as well, its half an hour walk from places like Sensō-ji, Akihabara or Nihombashi. There are two train stations in the vicinity. One is the Toei subway Asakusa line 3 blocks east, and the JR Sōbu line a hundred meters from the station's west exit.
Acces from Narita can be either from the JR Rapid service through the Yokosuka line with a transfer at Kinsichō and then onward to Asakusabashi station, or with the Keisei Narita Sky Access that arrives directly at the Toei Asakusabashi station.
Anyhow, this is a great hotel that will make your stay at Tokyo, be it leisure or business, a memorable one.
