It's far from the station over the Sumida river about 10 minutes walk.
We got a 3 room but had 4 bunks, it was small but it's just a place to sleep, not a hotel. The little dining area on the top floor where our rooms were was quite small. Hard to sit around without worrying that a door would open or someone wanted to get into their room.
Sharing bathrooms I found icky...Don't like wet floors of the only one bathroom on the floor. It's not recommended if you have suitcases like we did...hauling up those flights of stairs were so dangerous!!!!
you had to be real careful because if you fell, you would be done for....
Some of the staff were nice, but I found most of the time they were a bit snooty but i just ignored it...maybe they had something I don't know. We never were notified of parties that were apparently happening so when we returned one night there was a Halloween party happening.
So it's a good place to just sleep, meet some interesting people and rude people, squished place to brush your teeth or apply makeup///as the dining tables were in the way and didn't like to interrupt someone eating to move to do your grooming...
Beds were comfortable but not in the way you probably are used to at home, they dorm beds are bunks with wiring.
Also around the corner is a cheap LAWSON 100 Yen shop, you could buy so much food here so cheap.
I would give it a 5/10
