“Nice Experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 February 2012

I stayed with my family during our first visit to Tokyo in Aug 2011. The ambience of the hotel is very welcoming. We took a taxi from the airport on our arrival because we were traveling with young kids and we wanted to sight see as we go. The reception was good and our room was very restful. The hotel pictures are pretty much what you will see on ground-no gimmicks.
Hotel is near the Govt.Met office which has an observatory floor, with free entry for those relaxing days.
Downside - Hotel has no wifi and provides a free shuttle to Shinjuku station, as it is a little off the action areas.

Nice and enjoyable stay.

Room Tip: The hotel is literally next door to Govt. Met office which has an observatory floor (free entry) whe...

“Loved it!”

We used our Hyatt upgrade to a suite - had a Atrium suite on the Regency Club level - WOW. It was huge and so elegant. We enjoyed the free breakfast. Lots of fruits and veggies which is exactly what we wanted. They also have a free cocktail hour for Regency Club we enjoyed too.

We stayed at 2 other hotels during our stay in Tokyo, and enjoyed this one the most.

“Decent hotel, did not like the breakfast, service too slow. Nothing special”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 January 2012

Normally Hyatt hotels are worth the price, did not feel the same about this one. The breakfast was just ok, service was very slow, no wifi avaulable, the bar is not nice. We ended up spending more time at hilton across the street for drinks

“Fab hotel in a great location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 January 2012

I stayed here for one night with 2 other friends - we had done a charity jail break and I had got the three of us for Japan for free and blagged the hyatt too ;)

The location of the hotel was great, just a short walk to shinjuku central streets but still out of the hubbub of the area.

we arrived to a warm welcome in to the hugh high ceilinged lobby and were taken to our room - the curtains were closed and when we opened them we jumped back, we were on the 17th floor and the windows were near enough floor to ceiling which we were not expecting.

The hotel room was large and clean and they had put an additional bed in the room for us

we spend conciderable time in the bathroom pressing all the buttons and managed to spray water all over the place from the loo - the bathroom was a real novelty and had lots of nice stuff such as soaps etc

we did not spend much time at all in the hotel as we were eager to get out and about, but at the end of the evening we did venture into one of the bars for a drink which cost the earth but it was well worth it

whilst the stay in this hotel was brief, I loved it, it was clean, neat and cumfy, the staff were amazing and it was just what I expected from the Japanese.

“Overall good, front desk so so”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 January 2012

To make the story short
-We took the Narita express to Shinjuku station. As some has mentioned before, the shuttle bus station is difficult to find...only when I called the hotel, and they mentioned BUS STOP 35.
-Check in staff is quite rude, they only do one thing at a time. So when they are making the keys, they don't answer other questions. One task at a time...maybe this is Japanese work style.
-Room clean and we ask for an extra rollaway bed, it was there, and cost extra of course. We left tips for the housekeeping staff, they did not take it...after 2 days we gave up :-D
-Shuttle is on the dot, every 20 minutes. Walking is a little tough especially during winter.
-While they said is JPY300 for 24 hours of internet, they did not charge me anything.
-As a Hyatt Gold member, we have pastry and coffee free of charge, consider the cost of breakfast in Tokyo, this is a good gesture. having said that, they might have terminated this service after 31/12/2011.
I would stay there again.
