I stayed at Keio plaza hotel in Tokyo last week for one night. The location downtown was great but the price $300 was high like everything is in Tokyo. The rooms need to be brought up to date. They are clean but obviously need to be remodeled. I loved Tokyo and want to return some day but will check out other options for a hotel.

JPY 10,000 for a very large Western-style room with two double beds and a view, per night including breakfast one morning and free internet (LAN), However, this was a promotion and they would not have given us all the perks if we hadn't been able to show them our written confirmation from IPrefer and the hotel in advance.

Spent 4 nights here in Tokyo.

Stayed here based on TA reviews and friend's recommendation. Requested for connecting rooms when we booked but upon checked in was told not available. A bit of a worry when you are travelling with children but they managed to give us a room on the same floor.

Rooms were clean and basic but not luxurious considering the price. The size is good, not too small. The location is good, about 5 mins walk to Shinjuku train station. There is a convenience store downstairs which is VERY well stocked and their prices are comparable to the ones outside the hotel. There are plenty of restaurants around the hotel.

The hotel provided free bus transportation to and from DIsneyland and DisneySea. We took the bus to DIsneyland but took a train back as we did not want to commit to their timing back.

The only complain I have was when I called to extend my check out by 1 hour, I was told that it was not possible. For the price I paid for 2 rooms for 4 nights I would expect them to at least let me have one room for an hour more but they would not budge.

Overall I will recommend this hotel if you are looking to stay near Shinjuku.

We stayed on the 20th floor of Keio Plaza Hotel Tokyo on Feb 7, 2012. It is a non-smoking floor. One thing I like about Japan is that, when the hotel gives us a non-smoking room, it is always, almost certain that the room is clean from the bad odor of smokers.

The room is spacious for the Tokyo standard and close to the business centres and vicinity.

It is also walking distant from the famous Shinjuku. Although I dislike the Shinjuku culture, but I think it has it's own uniqueness. I suppose in comparison to the New York City, probably this is a lot more safer to walk about. Generally, if you are planning anything funny, no one is going to disturb you.

The bathroom is comfortable and well equipped.

However, the breakfast selection was rather uninspiring. The selection of international buffet as well as Japanese buffet are not as complete.

Well, if you are planning to visit Shinjuku, this is the place.
