This was a great base for me as a solo traveller for a few nights in Tokyo. The price is quite reasonable given the location.
The single rooms are very small, but that is standard for Japan. A basic continental breakfast is available downstairs. You can save a small amount of money by opting for an "eco-stay" where your towels and linen are not changed daily.
The hotel is only 50m from an exit of Shinjuku Sanchome station, a handy station with an interchange of 3 separate subway lines that can whisk you away around the city. It's a very short walk to the west to the main commercial area of Shinjuku where shops and restaurants abound.
The hotel is in Shinjuku Ni-Chome which is known as the "gay area" of Tokyo but the area does not seem sleazy or dangerous.
My biggest gripe is that although free internet is provided in the lobby it is not until after 10am. If you want to look something up online before heading out for the day this is really too late. Better do it by midnight the previous night when the computers are removed.
