Okay - there's no getting away from the fact that the rooms in this hotel are smallish, but it IS Tokyo and let's face it - you're going to sleeping in it - not throwing dinner parties!
The house-keeping was excellent - room was always cleaned to a high standard. And none of that "Oh - you were still in your room when we came so you'll have to wait until tomorrow" nonsense.
Nice little continental breakfast in lobby area if you want a little something in your belly before venturing out in the awesomeness that is Tokyo!
The staff at Lonestar are wonderful. They speak enough English so that you don't feel a Wally playing charades and their standard of service was great. One afternoon we got caught in a rainstorm on our return to the hotel and a membernof reception staff immediately rushed out with towels when we got into reception - a really thoughtful gesture.
It helps that Lonestar is really close to the underground station - just remember to head for exit C8!!
It REALLY helps that the Lonestar is SECONDS from a mad selection of bars - many of them gay orientated, but not exclusively so. So very little in the way of staggering back after top nights out.
This was our first time in Tokyo but we will most definitely be back and the Lonestar is most definitely a huge deciding factor in this!!
Don't forget the free drinks and ice on the 4th floor!
