We stayed here the DAY after the 9.0 earthquake. We arrived in Shinjuku after an epicly long commute from Auckland, with a delayed 9 hour stopover in KL, and catching a myriad of trains to get there due to the partial JR closure.
Anyway, we heeded advice of this site in that its not THAT easy to find, but if you print/save a copy of Google Maps screenshot on your phone you will be fine. About 10 mins walk from main Shinjuku station or you can get the subway to Sanchome #3 which will drop you right outside but thats a bit trickier unless you are familiar with Tokyo public transit.
We stayed on the top floor level 7, and our room was compact. The bed was wide enough however for the two of us, although floor space was sparse and the bathroom was very small - like a closet.
However, everything was very clean and well maintained - the staff had good English skills, the lobby has free internet wifi and provided laptops, and the free everyday breakfast was great for the level of hotel.
Just walk East towards Shinjuku station at night or day and you will find heaps of cool local food places, Pachinko, shops, vending machines etc.
In Summary: A cosy hotel, in a good location, good value, great staff, very clean, but with compact rooms. Suitable for a single or couple who doesn't want to rough it but doesn't mind not having all the comforts of a larger hotel.
