Stayed at this hotel for 12 nights in a single room. A very good size room for Tokyo. Also a reasonable room rate! Was happy to find haning space and a shelf above it for clothes storage. Having stayed at a couple of hotels in tokyo before, this was a luxury li hadnt previously had. Room had a sweet little couch under the window, a quite nice bathroom, one that even had a bath. Once again, relative to other japanese hotels i found it to be 'spacious' you cant judge these hotels by their counterparts in other major cities in the world. Its just not the same here. Only had breakfast once but it was a nice yet not too extensive buffet. If you request not to have your room serviced you are issued a 500 yen voucher. Although cant refuse service 2 days in a row. So I did it every second day and managed to accumulate some money for nothing! Great!
I found the location very convenient to shinjuku area and station. It was central to so many shops and caves I wanted to visit in the area. Some people have commented on the area being a little unsavory. I didn't find it anything to worry about at all. It may be a little off putting if you have a family and are venturing out at night though. I which case the back path mentioned by other posters is ideal. It completely avoids the African pimps. Though they know who not to harass.
