We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. I found the only pro was its location, no doubt , easy to get access to JR, but not thing more than that.
There was not one to welcome us when we arrived, neither bag boys to help with baggage. Quite weird~ Breakfast is on 22 floor in buffet style, again great view, but lacking variety. Last but not least,
no free in room WI-FI

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights for business. I found the rooms to be of a very high standard, huge comfortable bed, with a choice of pillows, a small fridge, and great views.
The hotel was easy to find from Shibuya station, with lots of signs directing us onto the right escalators. My main comment was that based on everywhere else we had stayed in Japan, and all of the people we had come in contact with, the staff that we came into contact with at this hotel were neither friendly nor particularly helpful.

I needed to go around Shibuya district by trains, buses and this hotel has offered me all the comodity that I expected. Firstly, I could take the Narita limousine bus straight to the hotel which I did on the way back to the airport as well. With the luggage, it's really convenient. Due to my business, I didn't get to stay mcuh time in the room but it was clean and spacious enough for me. The view of Tokyo, looking over not only the famous crossing of Shibuya, but also night view of Shinjuku was pretty, too. Oh, if you get lucky, you can see Mr.Fuji, too!!

Since my first trip to Shibuya, I've been itching to stay at the Shibuya Excel Hotel for it's incredible location. We had already had 8 nights in Shibuya at the Tobu, but had one last night in Tokyo and decided to splurge so went for the Excel.
This hotel is beautiful and fantastically located so we could walk straight off the JR Yamanote line and into the hotel with our luggage. We were a little early (12:30) so the hotel kindly offered to mind our bags.
At 2pm our room was ready and we were on the 15th floor - we caught the outdoor/clear lift which I was a little excited about because of the amazing view it afforded us of Shibuya.

The room was relatively spacious but the bed was smaller than I expected - that said it was a semi-double so I shouldn't have been surprised. The view from our window was great especially at night and the view from the elevator area on each floor is spectacular - the ultimate view of the Shibuya crossing.

I couldn't for the life of me work out the internet - had easy plug in ethernet at every other hotel that worked straight away but this I couldn't figure out. We were only staying one night so I didn't bother to ask staff for help. I did ask staff at reception for help to get to Haneda considering I didn't have the internet and they were incredibly helpful.

This hotel is gorgeous and I was happy enough with it - the room was much bigger and nicer than we had experienced at other places. That said, I think I'd rather keep my money for the shops and stay somewhere smaller/simpler... this was a bit of a splurge. If money is no object, go for it!
