“Kooky hotel in great location”

A small, almost boutique hotel which despite its name and location trades on an English theme. So forget business centres, pools and gyms and think get William Morris wallpaper on the ceiling and Constable/Turner style artwork on the walls. The rooms are small, the internet is free (as are pajamas) and the staff helpful. The breakfast is an excellent mixture of European, American and Japanese. If breakfast isn't included in your stay make sure you get a discount ticket from reception. The location is superb - just up the road from a major metro station. It's part of a chain of hotels in Japan and on the basis of this one I'd certainly go to one of the other ones.

“Very clean and comfortable in a good location.”

Nice hotel in a good location (3 mins walk from the Akasaka-Mitsuke metro station). For Japanese standard quite large and very comfortable room with a nice bathroom. Very clean. Unfortunately both nights the room was too hot and it negatively affected our sleep (we could not turn the heat down enough).

“Great base for a Tokyo adventure!!!!!”

Seriously all I have to say about this Hotel is...

Best value for money by a long shoot!

We paid $120AUD a night for a 2 person bedroom. It was very spacious! Great comfy beds, all the things you would need in a hotel room. Great bathroom. Was super clean with room cleaning done everyday b/w 11am-3pm (so even if you slept in)

The staff at the counter where really friendly (even gave us free breakfast on the last 2 days because we stayed for so long), staff spoke english and where of great help when we had questions...

I would seriously recommend this to anyone and everyone thinking of going to Tokyo... it is a 2 min walk (about 500 meters) to a major train station where 3 lines run through... close to restaurants, pubs and bars....

ONLY downside...
They did not have any laptops for rent as the websites states and did not offer wifi...

“Very nice amenities, good location.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2011

Great location for wandering. Close to subway stop and lots of restaurants and convenience stores. Quiet! Very comfy beds and pillows! Amazing shower, deep tub and heated toilet seat!

Staff were friendly and helpful, but did not have much English. Breakfast buffet was quite substantial with lots of variety, but we mistakenly thought it was included in the price of the room!

Our room had a mini fridge and a kettle with a vending machine on our floor.

“Excellent hotel, great value for money!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 January 2011

Hotel is in an excellent location, close to several subway lines and Airport Limousine stop (at the nearby Excell Hotel Tokyu Akasaka) and rooms are in impeccable condition. We had a 12th floor room with wonderful view to Tokyo skyline. Although hotel staff did not speak perfect English this was more than compensated by their friendly and helpful attitude. Great experience, would highly recommend this hotel. Akasaka is a nice place to stay since it is a bit quiter but still in the middle of the city with quick & easy access to several interesting locations.
